"In Germany, almost 19.5 billion eggs are consumed every year. Almost all eggs on the market come from specialized laying hen farms. In 2019, 48 million hens laid an average of 290 eggs each in Germany. The per capita consumption of eggs in Germany is 236 pieces per year. Processed eggs do not have to be labeled and therefore often come from cage or indoor farming." This work was published on Easter 2021 to give people some facts about their holiday food. The texture of the egg is based on the feathers and injuries of a chicken that lives on a hen farm.
