Hi, I’m Sandra, and I am a designer with a focus on art, graphic design and animation. I did my bachelor’s and master’s degree in communication design at the University of Applied Sciences Mainz in Germany and completed an exchange semester at the Norwich University of the Arts in England with a focus on research, reflection and experimentation in the field of illustration.
I work very conceptually and base my design ideas on the research I made, but I also work quite intuitive and experimental. Finding unexpected ideas through creating new things from scratch is one of my favourite things to do. I’m inspired by a lot of different topics surrounding me but almost all my personal work is related to nature and music.
After attending mostly photography and illustration classes and working mostly in black and white during my bachelor studies, I now focus a lot on finding the perfect colour palette for every project. After graduating I learned the basics of coding and got more into animation and typography by designing a range of posters. This was followed by my master's degree, during which I worked on other CGI projects, redesigned a book, took an experiential web design course and developed two social media campaigns on the topic of sustainability.
Since 2022 I have been working as a graphic designer at a design agency that also operates as an independent publisher. I support customers from various industries every day and implement their projects in the print and digital sectors. In addition to these diverse tasks for external customers, I work quarterly on several self-published magazines in the areas of culture, business, gastronomy and real estate.
Feel free to contact me if you like my work or have any questions!
